Sock Hops and Candy Cigs (Cronus x Reader)

    You excitedly jerked on your ankle length socks, with black and white saddle shoes over top. You hopped up and walked over to a mirror, checking your attire. You wore a white button up blouse, with a scoop neck and a calf-length, puffy (f/c) poodle skirt. Fluffing up your petticoats a bit, you tugged on a black sweater. Finally you were satisfied with your attire and rushed down the stairs as you heard the doorbell ring. Standing there was the ever lovely Porrim. Her jade and black polka-dot dress clung as closely to her figure as the 50's style would allow. Her raven flats were a bit formal and her long, ebony locks were pulled back into a ponytail with a sheer, jade scarf. A gaggle of younger girls chattered animatedly, dressed in a similar fashion.

"What's buzzin' cuzzin'?"

"(Name) it's horrid enough that you have coerced me into watching these human children with you, must you speak in such a manner?" inquired an exasprated Virgo.

You frowned while tugging your friend down the street. "Don't be a party pooper! This is my first sock hop since I was a Girl Scout! I'm so excited I'm about to flip!" you replied.

         Once you reached your destination all the girls dispersed, each on a mission to find a suitable dancing partner. You smiled, easily spotting Mituna and Latula doing the Twist to Jailhouse Rock. You had to admit, the Gemini looked right smart. His yellow and black letterman jacket was paired with a brand new pair of jeans. Latula sported a teal blouse with a scalloped collar, a red hoop skirt with teal trim and crimson red converse.

         You looked beside you, about to comment on your friends' fashion choices, when you noticed your companion had disappeared. You scanned the crowd when you saw her with a certain trigger happy troll. Deciding to let sleeping dogs lie you searched for Cronus. Even though the room was full of preteens, and not much else, he must be about to go ape! ...God, Porrim was right. You were using this a bit to much, but instead of letting you recover some of your dignity the author chose to keep using the unreal slang.

"Hey there doll. This place is fat city."

"Hey Cronus! Glad you're having fun!"

         The violet blood was, of course, dressed like a greaser. A leather, motorcycle jacket covered his usual tee

"Vwell besides the vwet rag ovwer there but Porrim's got a handle on him," he chuckled.

"So, vwanna dance?"

You grinned from ear to ear as the tune Yackety Yak blared through the speakers and dragged the sea dweller over to the dance floor.

         Nearly an hour later you trudged to the nearest chair and slumped over and you tried to suppress the dorky smile that overtook your features. It had been a pretty incredible night. You got to reminisce about your younger days and hang with your little flush crush! However one thing time had lacked was some fresh air! You popped out the back door and sat down in the grassy area.

         You heard a quiet click letting you know someone had joined you. A quick glance proved it to be the one and only Cronus. Pulling your knees up to your chest, you patted the ground next to you as an invitation, which he accepted. You leaned your head against his shoulder, whie his arms wrapped around your waist.

         Almost ninja style you turned the troll's face towards you, smashes your lips together, and stole his edible cig, pretending to take a long drag. He merely chuckled and kissed you once more.
