Shadows of Truth Part 4

    Malice stoped. The scortchmarks ended  here. To her left was the road to Sonic's house. To the right was the path that went through the woods. She decided to go down the path to the right.
    "So Mephiles is back?' asked Luna, not really caring. Everyone else was terrified. Tails was hiding behind the couch curled  up in a ball. Amy was clutching Sonic's arm, and Sonic was trembling. "I-Is Malice okay?!?" Sonic asked, barely restraining from screaming. "She's fine, should be completely healed in a week." assured Shadow. "But you said that she was on the verge of... not making it," added Amy. "She heals at a fast rate." he said simply. Luna got impatient. "C'mon guys!" she started "Mephiles, 'member him?! We kinda gotta keep him from ruling the world!" "Right. I don't know why he didn't just come after us. We didn't even know he was here!" Tails said.
    "Maybe he wanted to find a better time to attack." offered Amy. Sonic answered: "No. He WANTS something." "Yeah?" Luna asked "Like what?" "I really don't know..." The blue hedgehog responded.
    Malice was hiding in a tree about 20 yards from Emerald Lake. The hedgehog that had injured her stood at its shore. What had Shadow called him? Mephiles. Shadow had called him Mephiles. he stared at the lake, like he was looking for something. Malice must be imagining things. He couln't know the secrets the lake contained. No one did. Malice, as protector of those secrets, had made sure of that. Sudenly, three feet away from Mephiles, there was a flash of light that nearly blinded her. out from it stepped a hedgehog she had never seen before.
    He was kinda atractive. his fur was silver and he had silvery chest fur. His spines looked strange. His honey-colored eyes were filled with hate, anger, and betrayal. His gloves had strange green marks on them.
    He took a step towards the mouthless hedgehog. "So you came here looking for something. I'll make sure your little trip ends now!" shouted the silver hedgehog. Mephiles tured towards him and posibly gave him a smirk. That is, if he had a mouth.
    "You know I'm not leaving until I get what I want." He charged at the hedgehog, but sudenly stoped. He was surrounded by a green aura. The silver hedgehog raised his hand and Mephiles flew in the air. Malice was amazed!
    Her amazement grew lesser as Mephiles was thrown into the same tree that malice was hidding in! She hit several branches before landing on her back with a loud thud. Unfortunantly for her Mephiles had been released from the telekinetic power used on him. Aparently, he had dealed with the silver hedgehog in the past, because he was unconsious. Mephiles leaned over Malice. Then he said: "I think you know what I'm looking for."
