Shadows of Truth Part 2

    Shadow had just plopped down on the couch with a book when he heard a knock at the door.He sighed then got up and answerd the door.He was surprised tosee Malice standing there, but what surprised him more was her appeance.
    Her shirt was tattered, ripped, and bloodstained.She had a deep gash in her arm still bleeding.Her hair had sticks, dirt, and leaves in it.Her jeans tattered, bloody, and muddy just like the rest of her.The unfortunate dark hedgehog saw the Fear in Malice's eyes.She managed to whisper "Help," before she fell headfirst.Luckily Shadow caught her before she faceplanted on the pavement.He stood there, stunned, for a moment then he brought her in.
   Shadow carried her to the guest bedroom and laid her on the bed.He grabbed the first-aid kit and attended to her injuries.The cut on her arm was at least six inches long and a centimeter deep.The dark hedgehog was used to gruesome sights thanks to his job at G.U.N. but he felt a little queasy.Though he didn't know why.
   Malice woke upas soon as Shadow finished bandaging her wounds.She was very disoriented and her head was killing her.What had happened?That's right.She had come to Shadow's house.That's when she noticed Shadow.He looked at her like she was insane."Uh...hi..." "Hi?You show up at my house a bloody mess, which you still ARE by the way, and you say hi?" She blinked at him."Basically yes."
   Shadow nearly laughed.As far as hecould tell there was no brain damage.He left for a moment then came back.Shadow threw her a towel."Go take a shower." "What about clean clothes?" "I'll run by your house." Shadow dashed out the door and Malice walked to the bathroom.She looked in the mirror and choaked on a scream.she really DID look like bloody mess.She took a quick shower because where the water hit where she was cut, which was almost everywhere,it stung.
   When she came back she saw Shadow had laid clothes out for her.When she was dressed  Malice was wearing a white t-shirt with a skull and cross on it and a pair of faded blue jeans.But she couldn't find her other clothes.
  When she finally found them it was too late.Shadow had already thrown them away."I liked that shirt," she whined."It was beyond repair," he stated simply.She pouted."I think I'm gonna-" "I think you're gonna tell me what happened," interrupted the charcoal hedgehog.Malice sat on the couch;Shadow sat on the recliner opposite of her."Okay so after you two left I headed for Emerald Lake in the forest.I hadn't gone very far when I saw a hedgehog that looks similar to you."
  Shadow's eyes widened.Malice didn't understand so she continued.
  "I said 'Hi' but he turned around and attacked me!He was really strong.I underestimated him.Made one wrong move and...you can figure out the rest."
  "Can you tell me more about what he looked like?" asked Shadow concern written all over his face."Well, he was gray and blue.Other than that he looked just like you.Oh, he also didn't have a mouth," she answered.
  "Not good.Gotta tell Sonic," muttered the charcoal hedgehog.Malice was confused.She pissed people off and got in fights all the time.Why was this time any diffrent?Malice asked"Why is it so important?It's just another fight." "That's just it!It wasn't just another fight!You know those stories you heard about Mephiles?" Malice nodded."That's who you fought!You could have died!" Malice just sat there and Shadow stormed out the door.
